Our members develop a sense of pride as they create beautiful and functional personal pieces that last for generations. Crafting from wood offers a unique blend of artistry and utility. Our members have created beautifully turned bowls that look and feel like luminescent pearl, functional chairs with artistic flare and beautiful grains, live edge tables, shelves, and charcuterie boards.
While many projects are big, some are very small. For example, members have also made coasters, totes, oars for canoes, keels for a small boat, phone stands, and condiment caddies. We strive to make every curve, joint and detail visually stunning, comfortable, durable and a pleasure to use. But we also acknowledge growth and progress from beginner to expert woodworker. Flaws are part of the learning just as they are part of the natural fibres of wood.
